Artist / desert dweller
For 274 days I travelled alone around the US shooting “A Season Of Solitude On The Road,” which is a book now, and that beautiful, tumultuous ride shaped me in many ways.
I live in the Mojave desert, and am working on a new body of work about this wild, wonderful, unforgiving expanse.
In the summers I make large interactive fire art with The Flaming Lotus Girls, and then keep people from hurting themselves in silly ways on our sculptures.
This couples portrait shows me with biggest pencil cholla cactus I’ve ever seen.
